This is an attractive watch that, given the low price, is basically the equivalent of costume jewelry. Who cares, though. I'm not the type to spend $1000 on a watch, so it's nice to have options like this available for less than the cost of a lunch for two. There are a few downsides: 1) the band feels like cardboard 2) the sun and stars could be a brighter shade of gold, and 3) the date is nearly impossible to read for all but those possessed of the sharpest vision. All in all, though I'm pretty sure it's going to be a fun watch to wear from time to time.This watch looks WAY better in person! I can not get over how good it looks. Setting the time and date is simple and quick, too.However, I've noticed the ticking is a bit... noticeable at times. If you have your arm relatively close to you, and it's really quiet around you, you might hear the ticking.I begin to not hear the ticking once my hands are fully extended towards a keyboard and I am typing. Hopefully that provides a visual of the minimum distance before you start hearing it. It's honestly not bothersome, unless you really dislike clock ticking.Aside from that, there's no faults with this watch that I can find. I can see myself using this watch for a long time.I rarely am moved to write a review, but I thought this needed a 'heads up' for potential purchasers. Although the overall quality of the watch is fine, this is not... repeat, NOT... a moon phase watch. A moon phase watch would have, well, the phases of the moon, i.e., new moon, full moon, crescent moon, etc. What you have here is a simple day/night indicator; in other words, when the hands on the watch face are trending PM, you'll see moon and stars, and when they're trending AM, you'll see the sun.Again, the overall quality of the watch is fine, but Amazon should really not allow this to be sold as a moon phase watch. That's simply inaccurate.Chinese watch but using Japanese movt. (Seiko) All functions are working well, great in real. Cheap but not cheap at all.Although this watch displayed great charm with a sophisticated appearance of Roman Numerals, I thought the moonface display was much too small, and I would have preferred a much larger area of the face to be characterized by this feature. The cost to quality/appearance ratio did not provide this buyer enough reasons to feel really positive about its long term ownership.I ordered the watch for my husband. When it first arrived (about 5 mos. ago) I gave it 5 stars because it looked like the picture and seemed like high quality in light of such a low price. But I spoke ("reviewed") too soon. The watch seems to work (so far) but the band has faded to a pukey-bland-pink and the moon phase function doesn't work. The numeric and weekday indicators seem to be working. The double-band strap holder fell off within a week; the shiny, rose-gold watch-face trim that looked so nice originally has worn off and is now grayish,rough and dull.This watch does work properly, but it does not look at nice at its picture. My main disappointment is the color. The images shows a very nice copper color. Rose Gold is suppose to be a mixture of copper and gold, but this is more gold than copper. It is also very light and cheap feeling, especially the band.Bought this based on picture, don't really like to buy things without being able to touch & get a feel for it. Been looking for moon/sun phase watch for a long time. Bought watch, arrived in a day, opened box & was pleasantly surprised, much nicer than what the picture shows. Recommend highly
