WHY I BOUGHT THIS WATCHI bought this for my wife who is visually impaired, because I understood:A. It's unisex style would look okay for a woman to wear.B. It would fit a small woman's wrist.C. It was loud enough to easily hear.D. It had clear speech.E. It was supposed to be well made using metal for the case and buckle and leather for the strap.PRO's:1. Shipping was fast, and packing looked secure.2. Watch was packed in it's own box and mailed inside a heavily padded envelope.2. Came with printed instruction that could be read without a magnification.3. Black leather strap looked nice.4. Watch was wrapped around a foam block, had a heavy clear plastic protecting the lense, and a small plastic clip keeping the winding stem from accidentally being pushed in and activating the battery.5. Uses a common watch battery sold almost everywhere.CON's:1. The gold toned metal buckle came apart on my first attempt to buckle the strap closed. One part attaches to the watch strap and the other part looks like a horse shoe with a pin on it. The part that broke loose attaches to the part attached to the band by a small rod that has spring loaded pins at each end like the pin used to attach watch bands to watches. I've replaced many watch bands over the years so I was only mildly irritated at having to repair the watch buckle new out of the box. After struggling unsucessfully with that for more than 2 hours, I finally gave up!2. The watch band is way too large for my wife's wrist.3. The watch is large and looks like a man's watch. It does not look like something women would wear.4. Programing the watch was tedious for me. I'll leave that for you to decide.5. The volume of the speaking voice is very faint and the rate of speaking very fast making it difficult to hear unless the watch is held next to the ear. There is an option to select either a man's or a woman's voice, but we did not think that made a significant difference.RECOMMENDATION:1. A man might like the watch if he doesn't mind holding close to his ear when he wants to hear the time, but that won't compensate for the rapid speech of the speaker.2. It is NOT a watch for a woman. The size, style and band are way too large.3. Having broken parts new out of the box is unacceptable.I do not recommend this watch.** I returned it.
